I have recently restructured and relaunched our website home page. It was beginning to feel a little dated. Now, it showcases a series of junior models showing off my designer dresses, crocheted knitwear, and fashion accessories. These lovely girls' fashion clothes are unique handmade items crafted using my designs in Derbyshire, UK. They are ideal for your little girls, making them feel a million dollars. No one else will be wearing the same—guaranteed!
Beside a showcase focusing on those models, there is a featured section. This section currently shows party wear from the SerendipityGDDs online shop, plus all my products that you can buy. At the time this blog is published, there are 212 separate items available. If you want to use the full SHOP page, you can filter and sort to your heart's content. You can choose options like newest first, lowest price, highest price, alphabetically ascending or descending, by type, age, colour—you name it! Your search is made simple and quick.
A Journey Through Time
You will also see a visitors map. This map shows who has visited the site since its original launch back in October 2010. Wow, that’s 15 years ago! What fun times it has been, designing, making, and selling! Here are the words of introduction I used back then:
Hi, my name is Anne, and I started Serendipity Girls Designer Dresses in October 2010 when I realised I could turn my dressmaking skills and design ideas into a small business online. My husband created the first website, which went live on 2nd December 2010. My limited-edition handmade dresses for girls aged 1 to 9+ are unique and well made. I have been dressmaking since I was 13, taught by my mother, and have made clothes for family and friends ever since. Now my two sons have grown up and left home, I want to use my creativity to produce garments that others will love and enjoy wearing. I love sourcing unusual fabrics, and as Franklin D. Roosevelt said, "Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort." Why not also have a look at my Blog to keep up to date with my latest designs, dresses, crocheted knitwear, and accessories added to the website? I have met lots of people through various social media outlets and exchanged design ideas and craft pictures. As a small business, where you often work alone for long periods, it really makes you feel part of a wider "craft" community. You can always bounce ideas off friends and get constructive feedback. I have won various awards for my dresses, but probably the one I am most proud of is winning Theo Paphitis's "SBS" (Small Business Sunday) from BBC's Dragons' Den. He is a business entrepreneur and a huge supporter of small businesses. He has set up a website for the Small Business Sunday winners, so you can see me there along with other winners. My website has been seen in over 136 countries, so I can say we are truly global. You can now see some of my dresses in a 360-degree spin view and magnify them if you wish to examine my designer girls' fashion clothes further. I am on most social media platforms, and you can buy my unique dresses, knitwear, and accessories in my Etsy shop or on Amazon Handmade if you would prefer. Thanks for looking!
